These Kiln Dried Pine sleepers are pressure treated to UC4 standard 15 year desired service life as recommended for ground contact applications which offers enhanced penetration as well as a broader spectrum of protection against decay organisms, particularly certain copper tolerant brown rots.
The UC4 Kiln Dried Pine range of landscape sleepers gives added confidence and assurance to your next landscaping project. Manufactured from quality redwood, our sleepers are kiln dried prior to preservative treatment to Use Class 4 to give a desired service life of 15 years against decay and insect attack. This allows preservative treatment, applied under pressure, to penetrate deeper into the structure of the timber creating a robust and uniform envelope of protection.
Sleepers have a sawn finish and can vary in dimension by a few mm under or over our listed sizes. We cannot guarantee exact tolerances, especially as some sawmills cut over or under and the timber can shrink or expand according to the surrounding weather condit
